Pax Prime 2012 News

PAX Prime is one of the biggest gaming events of the year. This year it took place in Seattle , Washington last week. There were showings of many anticipated games such as Borderlands 2, Dishonored, The Last of Us, and so many other great looking games. There was a bunch of gaming news that came from PAX and other sources. 

News:

For you first few stories, there were some game announcements. Team Bondi announced they are developing a game called Whore of the Orient. Torchlight 2 has a release date of September 20. Aliens: Colonial Marines was announced.Final Fantasy XII: Lighting Returns will be made for the Xbox360 and PS3 by 2013. Black Mesa remake is coming out. September 14th of this year.

Dead Island Riptide has been announced. It will not be a sequel although you will be able to convert a saved character from the first and play through Riptide with it. There will be a new weather system that includes natural disasters such as flooding.

The God of War movie screenwriters are going to show Kratos in a different point of view. The movie will take place before he was the ghost of Sparta. He will have a wife and kids. The writers describe a scene in the movie where barbarians attack their city and Kratos calls Ares for help.

Metal Gear Solid Ground Zero will be open world. You can travel over the entire in game world. You can call in a helicopter from anywhere to bring you to locations. It is a Prologue to Metal Gear Solid 5. The Fox Engine used to create this game will be used on next generation consoles.

Opinion:

I have always been a Halo fan. i probably spent most my middle school years playing Halo 3. Unfortunately Halo Reach was a disappointment.  Halo 4 is coming out soon and I am afraid of what is going to come out of it. To me it looks like they are trying to copy Call of duty with the class system. Halo 3 set the bar up high, so Halo 4 will either have to blow the gamer's mind, or flop on the ground like a pancake. 

Metal Gear Solid 3 is my all time favorite game. I was really disappointed with Guns of the Patriots. It was more of a run in and kill everyone than it's stealth play. Metal Gear Rising looks terrible honestly. But i have high hopes they can redeem themselves with this game.

Remember me was shown a bit at Pax. I want to play the game just based on the story line. IDK how the gameplay is yet, but it just looks like my type of game.
